I was hoping to take a photo outside today but the rain has been continuous since the early hours of the morning - garden flooded,  so.......the usb lava lamp was to hand....a fun photo!

WIGS

These rather spooky looking "ladies" were sitting in the window of the Wig Shop - begging for a photo to be taken of them.  Mystery surrounds them.....are they about to blink, resemble obscure characters from Dr Who .............or are they just watching you ?

The Butcher

So......... ..five days without the internet - very frustrating! 
These were the (unedited) photos taken on Thursday 18th Feb - Cardiff Market - Wales. 
An experience, full of hustle, bustle and nostalgia including butchers selling meat you never probably have never seen nor knew could be eaten!! 
This very smily, charming butcher was doing great business!!

I liked the pattern made here by the legs of a chair against the tiles on the floor.......spotted whilst browsing in a rather nice furniture store!!

Cafe 22

After attending the "emergency" dentist I fould myself needing some retail therapy!  Time to rest feet and put those bags down - I treated myself to a coffee and some porridge (low fat of course) with a side portion of strawberries - delicious.   As I took a macro of my coffee, steam got on the lens - I rather liked the "hazy" effect it produced ....making the cafe look rather mysterious!

The Old Neptune

A cold day.  Took the dog for a walk today through Whitstable town, past the harbour to the beach.....this pub is probably one of the most sketched, photographed and painted pubs along the Kent coast....the beach runs for miles behind and in front of it....perhaps I'll go back for a drink or two during the Summer months  and take another photo incorporating more beach, sea and the locals!

Test Piece

 

Off to sectional practice at band this evening....concentrating on the Test Piece of music for our Brass Band Competition in March.....quite a tricky piece but sounding good -  Wish us luck!

Beach Huts

Took the dog to the beach this morning before work......it was below zero with freezing strong winds...absolutely chilling, but he had a lovely time!

What fun was had by all at Dawn's birthday "do"....I managed to shoot this before Olly consumed it....Tim staggered to bed early .......no doubt a thumping head tomorrow!!

Gutted!

Well, the title says it all....didn't get a photo on the blog before midnight yesterday.   Had every intention of posting this pretty mosaic lantern, which was taken yesterday morning at a friends house and was on my memory card ready.  Unfortunately, the car broke down in Suffolk and after waiting three hours for the tow truck in below-zero temperatures, it eventually arrived - slowly and bumpily it brought us home - arriving at just after 1am - orange lights flashing - not good!  An expensive trip.
