Just chillin' after a busy day and a hectic week - so far!

Next Village

Hartley and I walked to the next village today, he loved running round the playing field and is now totally exhausted and ready for a "dog nap"!  Me....well, I'm off to work.?!!

Well, what a day....housework, shopping, work, dog walking, etc..hence a rushed photo today - this shot hasn't been edited (apart from the frame).....any guesses??

 Not the most creative photo, but as I walked out the front door to go to work...I noticed these daffodils trying to make their way through the pebbles ...Spring will be here in no time at all!!

Charcoals

After so many dull grey days recently....I opened my case of charcoals in preparation for art class today  and.........wow..what a lot of colour!

Looking up whilst in the woods this morning.......and rotating the same photo made me wonder if the roots might look like this underground?

Windmill

This floodlit windmill jumps out of the darkness everytime we drive past.......its situated  to the left of the slip road near Tilbury and tells us we are on the right road to band rehearsals!

Survival

After extreme  downfalls of snow, sleet, hail, rain and freezing temperatures........these tiny primrose survived in the hanging basket......amazing!!

Another birthday.............

After being woken at 6.30 am by the kids playing "happy birthday" sung by The Muppets on the I-pod touch, a whole host of cards and fantastic presents were opened .....followed this evening by a vindaloo and a bottle of red (not forgetting the company) Tim had celebrated his birthday in style......yet again!       Talking of style,  very dapper he looked too in his new birthday shirt!

Exhausted!!

After stuffing the turkey, consuming a huge "unoficcial" Christmas dinner, drinking various wines and spirits and playing silly games we are all now completely exhausted......cutlery back in it's box!

Our "unofficial" Christmas Day is tomorrow....(Jan 17th)

Elliot is back from his travels and dad is well enough to venture out....

We have nine family members for dinner.........and turkey is defrosting in the oven.

After more snow............everywhere looked so picturesque this morning.- the snow on the wire beconed me to photograph it.

Last of the Lights

All of the Christmas lights in our close have been taken downexcept these.  With the snow falling and the evening setting in, somehow it looks Christmassy all over again.
